Setting
The beach at Alykanas is the continuation of the long strand that begins at Alykes, backed by a low coastline of fields, olives and lanes rather than a resort strip. The settlement has grown along the roads behind the beach, and the hills to the north, with the villages leading up to Volimes, close the view. The coast road to the town runs south past Tsilivi.
