Setting
Argassi is a few minutes from the town by car and effectively its seaside suburb, strung along the main road with the sea on one side and the mountain rising steeply on the other. The beach is small and the resort is busy in summer; the slopes of Skopos above the road, planted with olives, are where the villas and the views are. The road south leads on to the beaches of the Vasilikos peninsula.
Property and prices
The stock divides between holiday apartments and small hotels on the flat ground by the coast road and villas with pools on the hillside above, along with plots on the slopes. Argassi is part of the Zakynthos town municipal unit, which portal averages in 2026 put at around €3,000 per square metre, a figure that includes the town, Bochali and the peninsula. Buyers are largely British, often on a value budget of a few hundred thousand euros, with Dutch and other northern European purchasers who want a rentable property close to the airport. For a quieter version of the same coast, the Vasilikos peninsula begins a short drive south, and villas there are offered at €0.8–3 million as an indicative band.
