Lassi is the villa and hotel district on the peninsula immediately west of Argostoli, a few minutes from the capital and a short drive from the airport, with sandy beaches on its seaward side. The peninsula
Lassi occupies the hilly ground between Argostoli and the open sea, with a road along the top and beaches at the bottom of the western slope. It is close enough to walk to Argostoli from its eastern edge, and the airport is a short drive south along the coast. Hotels and holiday accommodation take the beach frontage; the villas are on the slopes and in the lanes behind.
Villas and prices
The market is contemporary villas with pools, many of them built in the last ten years, along with apartments and a few older houses. Portal averages in 2026 put the Leivatho municipal unit, of which Lassi is the core, at around €2,950 per square metre, the highest of the island's units, while agencies offer premium villas here at €3,200–5,000 per square metre, the same band they quote for Fiskardo and Assos. As an indicative band a new villa with pool near Lassi is offered at €0.7–1.8 million. Buyers are British, Italian, American and French, with Dutch and Belgian investors who let in summer and Israeli purchasers who value the flight from Tel Aviv, and Lassi is named with Fiskardo as the address that foreign enquiries most often mention.
