It suits buyers who want infrastructure, meaning a marina, ferries and shops open through the year, and who are happy to live above a busy village rather than a quiet one.

The harbour
Nidri's waterfront is a long quay of tavernas, ferry ramps and charter bases, with the bay of Vlicho opening to the south and the islands closing the view to the east. The ferry to Meganisi takes twenty to thirty minutes, and there are summer sailings to Kefalonia. A €3.5 million, 73-berth marina programme for Nidri is among the port investments listed for the island. The village is busy from May to October and quieter, though not empty, in winter, when it remains the service centre for this side of Lefkada.
Villas above the bay
The property market is on the hillsides behind the village, where contemporary villas with pools look over the water to Skorpios, and in the hamlets on the slopes that were once purely agricultural. Older houses in the village and apartments near the harbour make up the rest. Portal averages in 2026 put the Ellomenos unit, of which Nidri is the centre, at around €4,100 per square metre, and agencies quote €3,500–5,500 per square metre for pool villas here. As an indicative band, a contemporary villa on Lefkada is offered at €1.9–3.8 million, with waterfront property from about €2.5 million. Buyers are predominantly foreign, and a good number keep a boat in the bay.
