The bay opens to the south and the wind comes down the valley in the afternoon, which is why the shore at the village is given over to windsurfers rather than sunbeds. The village has a quay, shops that stay open outside the season, and a plain, practical character; the hamlets on the slopes to the west and east are where most of the villas are.
