Vlicho sits at the head of the long, almost landlocked bay south of Nidri, one of the most sheltered stretches of water in the Ionian and a place where yachts winter as well as summer. The village is small and strung along the shore; the Geni peninsula closes the bay on its far side. It suits buyers for whom a boat is part of the plan, and who want Nidri's ferries and shops close by without living in the resort.

The bay
Vlicho Bay is a narrow inlet running south from Nidri, so enclosed that its water is often glass-calm when the open coast is not. Boats are laid up and serviced along its shore, and the road round the bay leads out to the Geni peninsula, whose slopes carry villas and olive groves with views back across the water. The Nidri ferry to Meganisi is a few minutes away by car.
Houses and villas
Property here divides between houses in the village and on the flat ground at the head of the bay, and villas on the hillsides of the peninsula and the slopes towards Nidri, several of them with moorings or a path down to the water. The clientele is largely foreign and tilts towards sailors, British, German and Dutch owners who base a boat here. Portal averages in 2026 put the Ellomenos municipal unit, which covers Vlicho and Geni together with Nidri, at around €4,100 per square metre, and waterfront houses on Lefkada are offered from about €2.5 million as an indicative figure, with contemporary villas at €1.9–3.8 million.
