Property for sale in Acharavi, Corfu

Acharavi is the main town of Corfu's north coast, about an hour from the airport, a long, flat settlement along the road behind a wide beach of sand and pebble, with Mount Pantokrator rising directly behind it. It has shops and services that stay open through the winter, and it is the practical centre for the villages of the north. It suits buyers who want a house they can use for much of the year, with the sea and a working town within walking distance.

The town and the coast

Acharavi's beach runs for several kilometres, shallow and open to the north, with Roda at its western end and Almyros beyond to the east. The town itself is not pretty in the way of the villages, but it works: the main road carries the shops, and the streets between it and the sea hold apartments, small hotels and houses with gardens. On the mountain's northern slopes behind, the old villages, Episkepsi among them, have stone houses and views over the whole coast.

What is for sale and what it costs

The stock is broader and cheaper than on the north-east coast: apartments and townhouses in Acharavi itself, new and recent villas with pools on the flat land and low hills behind, stone houses in the villages and a good supply of plots. The north has a large expatriate community, much of it British and on retirement or semi-retirement budgets. Portal averages in 2026 put the Thinalio municipal unit, which covers Acharavi, Roda and Episkepsi, at around €2,700 per square metre, up about 16% on the year. Indicative bands for the north are €0.5–1.2 million for a new villa with pool, €0.25–0.6 million for a renovated stone house, €0.15–0.3 million for a sea-view apartment and €80,000–300,000 for a plot with permit.
