Property for sale in Glyfada, Corfu

Glyfada is a long sandy beach on Corfu's west coast below Pelekas, about twenty-five minutes from the airport, reached by a steep road that winds down from the ridge to a strip of hotels, apartments and beach bars between the cliffs. It is one of the island's popular summer beaches and almost empty out of season. It suits buyers who want a sandy beach and a sunset from the terrace, with Pelekas village and Corfu Town close behind.

Islands

The beach

The bay is enclosed by wooded cliffs at both ends. There is no village at the beach; the hotels and apartments occupy the flat land behind it, and the houses that interest buyers are on the slopes above, where the road from Pelekas descends. Myrtiotissa is over the headland to the north and Kontogialos, Pelekas's own beach, to the south.

Property and prices

The stock at Glyfada is apartments in the small blocks behind the beach, villas with pools on the slopes above with views over the bay, and plots on the hillside. Supply is limited by the terrain and by the amount of flat land taken by hotels, so a house here with a clear view of the sea is not common. Buyers are the same mix as at Pelekas above, drawn to the west coast for its evenings and its lower prices. Portal averages in 2026 put the Parelioi municipal unit, which takes in Glyfada, Pelekas and Sinarades, at around €2,180 per square metre, a rise of about 15% on the year. Indicatively, a sea-view apartment on the west coast is €0.18–0.35 million, a new villa with pool €0.7–1.8 million and a plot with permit €120,000–400,000; land without a sea frontage is valued at €40–120 per square metre and the sea-view premium on Corfu is generally put at 15–30%.
