Property for sale in Arillas, Corfu
Arillas is a village and a wide sandy bay on Corfu's north-west coast, roughly an hour from the airport, sheltered by the headland of Afionas to the south and looking west with the Diapontia islands on the horizon. It is low-key and slow, with a handful of tavernas, small hotels and apartments along the beach road and olive groves on the slopes behind. It suits buyers who prefer the softer, sunset-facing side of the island to the north-east.

Area guide
The bay
Arillas beach is long and sandy with shallow water, and the village behind it is small enough to walk end to end. Agios Stefanos Avliotes, another sandy resort, is over the hill to the north, and Afionas, a village on the headland with views to both sides, is to the south; Agios Georgios Pagon lies beyond it. The coast here faces west, so evenings are the point of the day.
Property and buyers
The property on offer runs from apartments and small houses near the beach to villas with pools on the slopes above the bay, stone houses in the village and the hamlets inland, and plots in the groves. Buyers are a mix of British, German and Dutch, the German-speaking share being higher on this coast than on the east, and many of them want a quality renovation or an energy-efficient new house with a garden rather than a showpiece. Portal averages in 2026 put the Agios Georgios municipal unit, which covers Arillas, Afionas and Pagi, at around €2,100 per square metre, up about 5% on the year. The north's indicative bands are a reasonable guide: a renovated stone house at €0.25–0.6 million, a new villa with pool at €0.5–1.2 million and a plot with permit at €80,000–300,000.
