Property for sale in Lefkimmi, Corfu
Lefkimmi is the main town of Corfu's deep south, under an hour from the airport, a working town of several joined villages on the flat land near the southern tip, with a river through it and a port with ferries to the mainland. It has little to do with tourism, which is its appeal for some: shops, a life of its own and olive groves all round. It suits buyers who want a Greek town rather than a resort, at some of the island's lowest prices.

Area guide
The town
Lefkimmi is really a string of villages, Potami and Melikia among them, that have grown together along the road. The river, with fishing boats moored along its banks, reaches the sea at Potami, and the port a little further south has ferries to Igoumenitsa. The beaches, at Alykes and along the east shore, are quiet even in August, and Kavos is a few minutes to the south.
Property and prices
The property here is old houses in the villages, many of them for renovation, family houses with gardens, a smaller number of villas with pools on the edges of the town and towards the coast, apartments, and plots and groves in quantity. Buyers are Greek as often as foreign; the foreigners are mostly British on modest budgets, and there is diaspora interest in village houses across the south. Portal averages in 2026 put the Lefkimmi municipal unit at around €1,770 per square metre, down almost 4% on the year while most of the island rose; agency guidance for the south, which names Lefkimmi, is €2,000–2,800 per square metre. As indicative bands, a renovated stone house is €0.18–0.45 million, a new villa with pool €0.45–0.9 million and a plot with permit €60,000–200,000, with land at €40–120 per square metre once away from the sea.
