Pelekas is a hill village on Corfu's west coast, about twenty-five minutes from the airport, set on a ridge with the sea on one side and the centre of the island on the other, and the viewpoint known as the Kaiser's Throne above it. It is a proper village, with a square, tavernas and stone houses, and it has a sandy beach at Kontogialos below. It suits buyers who want village life, a sunset view and the beach a short drive down the hill.

The village
Pelekas stands high enough to see both coasts, and the viewpoint at the top of the village, where Kaiser Wilhelm II came for the sunset, is where visitors still go for it. The lanes below hold old houses, some restored as homes and small guesthouses, and the road down the west side reaches the beach at Kontogialos, with Glyfada over the headland to the north and Myrtiotissa beyond. Corfu Town is close enough for the village to be lived in year round.

Pelekas has stone houses in the village, some in need of work, villas with pools on the slopes towards the sea and inland, apartments near the beach and plots in the olive groves. It is one of the villages that value and renovation buyers, British and German-speaking among them, look at first, because it offers a village rather than a resort with the beach only a few minutes away. Portal averages in 2026 put the Parelioi municipal unit, of which Pelekas is part, at around €2,180 per square metre, some 15% up on the year. As indicative bands, a renovated stone house on this coast is €0.3–0.7 million and a new villa with pool €0.7–1.8 million; plots with permit are €120,000–400,000, and land inland goes for €40–120 per square metre.
