Property for sale in Dassia, Corfu

Dassia is a long, straight beach on Corfu's east coast within twenty minutes of the airport, backed by olive groves and lined for much of its length by large hotels, with the old village of Kato Korakiana in the hills behind. It is one of the island's established resort beaches, calm and shallow, facing the mainland across the strait. It suits buyers who want a house near a beach and near town rather than in the remote north-east.

The beach and the hill

The main road runs a few hundred metres inland, with the hotels between it and the sea and lanes of apartments, tavernas and houses in the groves. Behind the road the ground rises quickly to Kato Korakiana, where there are stone houses and views back over the bay to Corfu Town, and higher still to Ano Korakiana. Ipsos is the next bay north, Gouvia and its marina the next south.

Property and prices

What is for sale at Dassia ranges from apartments in small blocks near the beach, through houses in the groves, to villas with pools on the hill with the sea below them, and plots on the slopes. The Israeli buyers who have been active on Corfu since 2025 look at Dassia and Gouvia for property that can be let and is close to the airport, and the hill above the beach is where most of the houses with a view are found. Agency guidance for the near-town belt, which names Dassia, puts apartments at €2,200–3,200 per square metre and houses at €3,000–5,000, with sea views commanding a premium of 15–30%; for comparison, the whole-island portal average in 2026 is around €3,000 per square metre and the Faiakes unit beginning at Ipsos is around €3,900.
